Co-founded by Bill Tai and Amanda Terry, ACTAI Unicorn Fund II invests primarily in pre-seed to series A stage, high growth companies that leverage purpose-driven technology to create societal benefit and digitization to bring efficiency and scale. Bill Tai was the first investor in Zoom and early investor in Wish, Canva, Dapper Labs, and over 20 publicly traded companies. Amanda Terry has over 20 years experience in digital media business development (ex-Twitter) and co-invested with Bill for 3 years before starting this fund in 2021. Their LP base is a global community of founders, operators, and investors with deep domain expertise, diverse networks, and a desire to help innovative companies grow. ACTAI Ventures focuses on companies in massive markets, with good market timing, and that are well-valued coming from the broader ACTAI Global (www.actai.global) community of Athletes, Conservationists, Technologists, Artists and Innovators, and the Extreme Tech Challenge (www.extremetechchallenge.com), the world's largest competition and ecosystem for tech for good aligned with the UN SDG goals, but not limited to investing in founders from those communities.
