WiTT (We’re in This Together) is an early stage, funded Digital Health/FinTech startup, with a strong social mission, that is focused on helping patients address the non-clinical financial and logistical challenges they face as they go through treatment. Our Founder was diagnosed with cancer in January of last year. His personal journey has made him want to make a difference to those patients that need help and he founded WiTT in 2021 to address this. While we are starting with Cancer, the platform will be available to all patients who need help, irrespective of diagnosis. In going through his own journey, he recognized three things that all patients face, and if addressed, could make a significant impact to the financial challenges they face: * Patients do not like to ask “a specific person” for help – they don't want to feel obligated to, or dependent on, anyone * Patients needs constantly change which makes predicting what is needed a challenge * People want to help, but don’t know how The platform de-stigmatizes asking for help by leveraging a unique combination of digital health and fintech tools to facilitate payments, thereby alleviating the non-clinical aspects of care, so that those challenges don't impact the care patients receive.
