SPARK Schools was co-founded by Stacey Brewer in 2012. Concerned by the state of South African education and committed to finding a solution, she believed that an innovative approach was needed to bring positive change in the education landscape.
To realise this vision, she gathered a team of like-minded individuals to help create a new private school model that would provide access to high-quality education to South African families.
The first school in the SPARK Schools network, SPARK Ferndale, was opened, in 2013 in Johannesburg. Since then, the network has expanded to serve more than 13,000 families with 18 schools in various locations within Gauteng and one school in the Western Cape.
