We believe that breastfeeding is a personal choice, that there are as many philosophies and styles of breastfeeding as there are breastfeeding women, and that women who choose to breastfeed should be able to do so whenever, wherever they and their babies feel most comfortable.

We believe that much of the recent discourse around breastfeeding and the “mommy wars” undermines each woman’s personal experience and is a distraction from the real issues, such as social inequity and the lack of accommodations for nursing mothers.

We believe that breast is best, but understand that many mamas need to be away from their children for work, travel, social, health, and other reasons.

We believe that it is a good thing for mamas to be on the go, but that they shouldn’t have to use a breast pump in a bathroom, storage area, dressing room, or any other undesirable location.

We believe that breastfeeding is a beautiful, healthful, natural function of motherhood that no mother should be denied based on cultural, social, economic, or other circumstances.

We believe that all mamas deserve a secure, clean, and comfortable place to use a breast pump or breastfeed—anywhere, anytime.
