Traffic congestion is the most prevalent problem leading to longer commute times, reducing productivity and quality of life. Parking is also becoming increasingly difficult and expensive. In large cities, as much as 10% of the local circulation can be due to drivers cruising for a parking spot for sometimes more than 20 minutes. Similarly, the environmental impact of transportation is becoming an ever more dominant concern, the global climate system and our health are now at stake. FUROSYSTEMS designed a vehicle that will solve these issues and change how people move in cities: the L1.
The L1 is an ultralight motorcycle weighing in at less than 30kg. Its thin and light frame allows it to weave and glide through traffic making high congestion and rush hour a concern of the past. Parking is also a non-issue. The L1’s light body can be treated like that of a bicycle, parked anywhere or taken indoors in your home or workplace. It is fully electric and highly efficient, an environmentally friendly and 100% clean solution to urban mobility.
The L1 is powered by a 3kw BLDC motor managed by our state of the art control system. Its light and compact body in combination with such power makes for an exhilarating ride. The top speed of the vehicle is capped at 45kph to keep it within the L1e-B category. This allows the vehicle to be ridden from a young age, with an easily obtainable moped license.
Our portable battery uses the latest lithium-ion cell technology leading to an outstanding range of 70 to 100km depending on the drive mode you choose. This means that for an average daily commute of 13km, you won’t have to charge your battery for 5 days! You can leave your L1 outside, easily take the battery out, charge it in 2.5hrs while you work, do your sport or relax and be back on the road again.
FUROSYSTEMS aims at truly improving transportation with a focus on user experience and design whilst maximising efficiency and sustainability.
Stay tuned, great things to come!
