FREDsense Technologies was born out of the Calgary 2012 iGEM Project (http://2012.igem.org/Team:Calgary) which developed a bacterial method to measure oil and gas toxins in a fast, and reliable way.
Now, FREDsense works to develop biological solutions to monitoring and measuring water samples of any kind. We measure parameters like arsenic, lead, and microcystin so that anyone anywhere can understand water quality without having to wait days or sometimes even weeks to get the same level of information.
