Dirty Labs is a cleaning innovations lab on a mission to take the dirty out of cleaning. We’re creating hyper-efficient, nontoxic, biodegradable cleaners, and we’re starting with laundry.
We founded Dirty Labs to create the change we want to see in the cleaning industry — a sustainable, biobased approach to cleaning that’s rooted in science and aligned with nature. Too many cleaners today still rely on petrochemicals and harsh synthetics that pollute the environment and our drinking water. About 40 billion loads of laundry are done in the United States each year. Most of these loads include hazardous chemicals, including EPA classified carcinogens, that enter into our water supply.
We’re creating new cleaning technologies built with advanced biobased ingredients to replace hazardous chemicals commonly found in laundry detergents today. Our team of chemists and environmentalists have raised the bar for safety and sustainability by eliminating all California Proposition 65 chemicals of concern and EU listed fragrance allergens for a truly clean ingredient list that’s also readily biodegradable.
For us, dirty-free cleaning is not just about safer ingredients. We formulate to get the job done, and we put our products through rigorous testing to ensure they’re strong enough for those who like to get really dirty, and safe and gentle enough for babies and the most sensitive skin.
