To ensure a sustainable future, we need to reach a global net equilibrium of negative CO2 emissions – a goal that will require actively removing CO2 from the atmosphere. Current technologies which remove CO2 directly from the air are extremely expensive and simply not effective enough. CarbonBlue takes a radically new approach by harnessing the ocean to save the planet. CarbonBlue’s proprietary process removes CO2 from the world’s oceans – where CO2 is 140 times more concentrated than in air – freeing the oceans to capture more CO2 from the atmosphere.
