BioEnergenix is developing therapeutics for diabetes, obesity and related metabolic diseases. The company’s aim is to discover treatments for the cause of the “metabolic syndrome” underlying these conditions, rather than simply treat the resulting effects. BioEnergenix has undertaken screening efforts to identify novel compounds which specifically modulate this pathway and is currently conducting preclinical studies of potential therapeutics.
