Together with the startup accelerator SAP.iO Berlin Foundry, we organized the first "Aviation Blockchain Challenge" in 2018. We searched for blockchain-based solutions that sustainably improve the travel experience, optimize airline operations and solutions that rethink the maintenance and related aspects of the supply chain. The competition aimed to explore the potential of blockchain technology in the aviation context, to highlight pioneering ideas and to initiate concrete pilot projects with the Lufthansa Group and SAP.
