The NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) is a EUR 1 billion deep tech fund, backing ambitious founders developing emerging and disruptive technologies. The NIF is the first multi-sovereign-backed fund and will operate as a standalone VC. For the NIF, high impact verticals include artificial intelligence (AI), biotechnology, defence, energy, food, health, manufacturing, industrials and space. We are passionate about autonomy, hypersonics, new materials and quantum, and want to shore up cutting-edge hardware and software. The NIF will lead early stage investments with initial cheque sizes of up to EUR 15 million. The NIF brings together a founding team with over 6 decades of deep tech investing, alongside a Board of Directors and Limited Partners at the highest levels of government, venture capital, innovation and defence. We are creating a commercialisation machine in both the private and public sectors and giving our founders a tremendous advantage, while securing the future for the Alliance's 1 billion citizens.
